Logan Square: Behind The Scenes

From its early foundations as the end point of Chicago’s Boulevard system, to its layered ethnic history still visible in churches and businesses, to its rapid demographic changes in recent decades, Logan Square is a neighborhood that truly offers no shortage of stories to tell. Our friend Arjuna was born and raised in Logan Square - he will be guiding us through an immersive experience that covers both general history and the crazy life scenarios that the dude got into on his own growing up in the early 2000s as (allegedly) the only Indian-American kid in the neighborhood. We’ll be meeting at 3pm at Logan Square Park!

Albany Park Walking Tour

We’re launching our See Chi Go adventures with a walking tour of Albany Park, perhaps the most absurdly eclectic neighborhood in the city. It’s safe to say that if it exists in Chicago, it exists here - you can find stores stocking surprisingly legal meats, yuppies with Phish flags on their homes, Assyrians delivering fresh haircuts, Korean bakeries, multilingual-marketing auto repair shops and artsy pop-ups all in a radius roughly the size of a suburban driveway. For 35 bucks we’ll provide you with tasty bites at four different international cuisine gems, give you all the scoop on the neighborhood’s quirky vibes, and show you around the area’s lovely community gardens and riverside parks. We hope you’ll learn a thing or two in the process about the history of Chicago’s hyper diverse far north side, and that you’ll come to understand why we think there’s an objectively correct answer to the question of which L stop has the best food in its surrounds. Join us at 2pm on Saturday, June 24th at Ravenswood Manor Park for this exclusive kickoff event - we have 15 slots available! Contact us or hit the link above if you’d like to sign up!
